Adopted 9/5/11 Mickey
Courtesy post

Mickey is a little over a year old sporting dog, a male American Foxhound with Virginia roots. He is mostly white, with a toffee brown face and expressive brown/golden eyes. He has speckles of brown appearing here and there on his slender, athletic body. Mickey is curious and engaged in whatever activity is going on, indoors and out. He loves the outdoors, especially trail walks where he can really put his sniffer to the test.

Mickey loves his leash walks with his canine friends Lucky, Junior and his sister Lola.

He enjoys chasing his favorite squeaky toy, especially when his teen friend Sam is doing the throwing. After a workout, Mickey loves to curl up nose to tail in his comfy bed.
Mickey eats three cups of kibble in order to maintain his optimal weight. Mickey is generally a quiet dog, not a barker, who just wants to be where his people are.
Age: one year Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered. *Mickey has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease and is currently being treated with antibiotics.
Recommendations: Mickey needs a home with an experienced dog owner and a strong leader. He gets along with some dogs and needs to be tested with any dogs he would be living with prior to adoption. Mickey is very active and needs a home with an actiive lifestyle, and owners committed to giving him plenty of exercise.
