Halfway Hounds is a volunteer-based organization that rescues dogs and fosters them in homes until the dogs can be placed with a loving family. If no foster home is available, the dogs are placed temporarily in a reputable kennel. The dogs in our program get daily walks, training, and field trips with our volunteers.
Our organization is a non-profit charity operating from public donations. In addition to monetary donations, there are many other ways that you can help us help dogs in need.
One way to help is to donate new or used items that you no longer need. We are most in need of the following items:
- dog bowls
- dog beds
- clean bedding
- mats for crates
- pill pockets
- sturdy non-toxic chew toys and balls
- kongs -- all sizes welcome and encouraged
- Thunder shirts
- clothing
- DAP collars
- Aura Cacia Chill Pill essential oil
- clean blankets or towels
